For your pet (dog or cat) to travel internationally from Egypt, specific medical protocols must be followed. First, an ISO 11784/11785 compliant microchip (15 digits) must be implanted before any vaccinations. Second, the pet must be immunized against Rabies with a valid vaccine (pet must be at least 12 weeks old at the time of vaccination). Third, most countries require a Rabies Titer Test (Antibody Test) conducted at an EU-approved laboratory (like the Animal Health Research Institute in Dokki) to confirm vaccine efficacy. The blood sample must be drawn at least 30 days after the rabies vaccine.
When shipping your dog or cat to Saudi Arabia, an official import permit must be issued via the NAMMA electronic platform. UAE shipping (Dubai & Abu Dhabi) requires a pre-issued import permit from the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) along with a certified government health certificate.
